The oldest form of armor, Steel is used where weigth is less of an issue, and cost is the main driver of choice.
Our 400BHN Steel is good against Blast
Our 500 BHN Steel is good against Ballistics
Our 600BHN is good against AP Threats
The newest form of ballistic protection. PE armor floats in water and is extremely lightweigth against certain rifle threats. Limited against Armor Piercing Rounds, however, but Protexor can add in a hard ceramic face to solve this
Aramid (also known as Kevlar or Twaron) has been around since the 1960's. It is extremely versatile, and we make it as a rubberised or resinated panel in sheet for spall liners, but we also sew aramid into body armor or vehicle armour blankets.
Glass Fibre Armor also known as Galt or Bristol Armor is used as a spall liner. It was also used in Chobham Armor systems. Now used in armored doors and walls inside banks and other high risk areas mainly
Alumina Oxide, Silicon Carbide and Boron Carbide are some of the ceramic faces that we put on the front of our armor panels to give an increased resistance mainly to Armor piercing threats.
Helmets - PASGT, ACH Fast, or Mich Helmets
Insert Plates to NIJ Level III or IV
Armor Vests with Molle or Plain
Plate Carriers made to various different sizes
Used as a floor plate generally for blast resistance, due to its ability to deform under blast conditions.
Available in sheets sizes up to 6x2M
Thicknesses 4-10mm are standard
Excellent rifle resistance and the standard issue steel plate used by vehicle converters throughout the world.
Available in sheets sizes up to 6x2M
Thicknesses 4-10mm are standard
Similar perfomance to ProtexSteel 500BHN, but with a 20% weight saving. Of course this has a cost penalty too, and it is more brittle, so generally seen as a ballistic steel rather than a blast resistant one.
